Project Description
This 30,000-sf new museum interprets the history of World War I through the museum's unparalleled collection to tell powerful, individual stories within the framework of a complex, global conflict. The causes, impact and legacy of the "Great War" are conveyed through eye-witness accounts, contextual exhibits and interactive programs, making the war understandable and relevant to the modern visitor.

Exhibition Title Wall The adjacent War Chronology Wall interprets through carefully chosen images and text the major events of the conflict month by month.
Uniforms Display The exhibition draws from a collection of over 49,000 objects, from large aircraft and artillery to diaries and postcards to uniforms and personal equipment.
Casualties and Evacuation Exhibit Dramatic and detailed supergraphic presentation of the process of evacuating the large numbers of casualties from the battlefronts.
